Silver Bearing Solder-It (SP-7)is probably the most versatile of our solder pastes. It will solder most ferrous and non-ferrous metals including copper, brass, bronze nickel, platinum, (some) chrome, monel, galvanized, (some)stainless, gold, silver, coated steel, cast iron, black steel, steel. Silver Solder-It is extremely conductive because of its silver content. It produces extremely strong joints (5 to 10 times the strength of 60/40 solder) because it contains NO LEAD. Because of its low flow temperature, you can solder small jobs with the heat from a match or lighter. It is particularly useful for electrical connections, board work, connectors of all types (especially PL259s & "N" Connectors), miniature connectors, battery pack connections. For Model Railroaders, it solders rails without melting the plastic ties and is great for detailing because you can make multiple contiguous joints without disturbing the previously soldered joint... Yup, the first doohickey won't fall off as you are soldering the second one right next to it! Silver Paste $6.00
Aluminum Solder-It (ALP-21)flows at 395F far below the melting point of aluminum. It is used to solder many types and gauges of aluminum as well as to solder aluminum to most other metals. It is especially useful for joining dissimilar gauges of aluminum. Use Aluminum Solder-It for aluminum tubing, aluminum antennas, aluminum radiators, air conditioning condensers, refrigeration, aluminum boats, doors, windows, anodized aluminum and aluminum foil. Great for constructing and repairing Remote Controlled Aircraft Parts and cosmetic repair of Homebuilt Aircraft/Parts. Aluminum Paste $6.00
Solder-It Plumbers' Solder (CSP-41)(Copper Bearing Solder Paste). Our Plumbers' Solder Paste is lead free and also contains NO cadmium or antimony. As with all of our pastes, no flux is required. The low melting temperature enables repair to existing joints without disassembly and makes professional pipe joints with ease. Solder-It Plumbers' Solder works on all of the same metals as our Silver Bearing Paste but is formulated for use when joining heavier gauges of those metals. Copper Paste $6.50
Solder-It Pot Metal Paste (ZP-28)solders zinc die cast, white metals, trophies, pewter, carburetors, fuel pumps, car grilles, door handles, junk jewelry. Flows with the heat from a small torch or soldering iron. Pot Metal Paste $6.00
Solder-It Plastic Weld (PP-1, PP-2)Solder-It Plastic Weld is the most recent addition to our paste line. Plastic Weld will bond most plastics using the heat of a torch or heat gun including:
Plastic Weld will activate at approximately 195F and is easily applied from the syringe. You simply vee the joint, deposit the paste and heat. In 5 minutes, the bond reaches 80% of its strength and can be sanded, drilled, tapped, tapered, painted. After 12 hours it is 100% cured. Plastic Weld is available in two designer colors... Black and White. Some common uses of Plastic Weld include repairs to ABS radiator tanks, overflow reservoir tanks, fan shrouds, bumper covers, grilles, fender skirts, PVC swimming pool lines, baths, PVC sprinkler systems, kitchen repairs.
